Micro Enterprises
Within the Furnace Brook site, we’ve reserved twenty acres of land which will be a Community Farm and operated as an Ecosystem Restoration Community.
Meliora Farm, the name meaning ‘better things’ will be a hive of nature restoration activity and will help our local community restore earth for a sustainable and resilient future. If you have a micro enterprise, a charity or a skill that could align with our values we’d be interested to hear from you. We’re particularly interested in:
Beekeeping
Hydroponic or vertical farming
Fruit & nut tree farming
Natural building methods
Forest schooling
Wildflower meadows and native hedges
Aquatic (native) flora and fauna

Compost Club
Compost Club is a community-driven initiative focused on promoting sustainable waste management and composting practices. It aims to educate residents and local organisations about the benefits of composting, reducing landfill waste, and creating nutrient-rich, living soil for gardens and green spaces. Through workshops, events, and resource sharing, Compost Club fosters environmental awareness and encourages eco-friendly habits among the community.
Fish Farm
Fish and aquatic plants.
Currently paused - due to our pollution incident.
Market Garden
New to 2025, we’re growing fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables on our half-acre plot, right here on the farm.
We’re assembling a team of growers and volunteers to work year-round for a beautiful and abundant garden that can inspire creativity, provide for the local community and connect people to the land.
Our soil-first approach allows for us to produce abundantly for us as well as the creatures that live above and below the soil.
Biochar
Imagine a soil improver that makes your plants thrive, helps the planet breathe easier, and turns waste into treasure. That's biochar – and it could transform your garden.
