Craft Ale

Meet Diane, our Chief Brewster and 5th generation Pearly Queen, whose journey from London's bustling street markets to the heart of Sussex has been driven by one constant: serving her community.

"To me brewing beer is more than making a lovely ale, it's about bringing communities together & telling stories" she says. "Our passion here at Furnace Brook Brewery is to make beer that connects and supports local communities."

We're proud to continue the tradition of producing real craft beers using local Sussex hops, either grown on-site or sourced from A Bushel of Hops, one of only 60 remaining hop farms throughout the UK. Every small-batch brew is hand-crafted with no finings or sulphites – just pure, delicious beer that brings people together and celebrates our local heritage.

Love, Laughs & Craft Ale

We believe stories connect our past, present and future – and that future can only be achieved together through sharing, collaboration, and mutual support. That's why Furnace Brook Brewery operates as a community interest company, with all surplus revenues supporting local arts and educational initiatives, ensuring every pint you enjoy gives back to the community that inspired it.

Come and sample Diane’s home-brewed beer (and maybe pick up a few bottles to take home afterwards!) at one of our Tap Room sessions.
